Mark Driscoll has become a famous celebrity preacher, and has frequented numerous national newspapers and TV programs. He has even been given invitations to preach behind pulpits that are known for their sound theology. But his profane talking, course jesting, and relevant but irreverent ministry style is far from what the Scripture commands a Gospel minister to demonstrate. Phil Johnson, the right-hand man of the more well-known John Macarthur, has issued a public appeal and has called out Driscoll by name, saying in his sermon that such ministers as him need to step down from ministry.
