Don’t Waste Your Life! God and Money.

Your Life… Don’t Waste It!

Check out this sobering video with speaker John Piper, and meditate on how you are using the money God has given you. Are you using it in such a way that shows that God is your God and not money? Or does the way you use your money show that money is your god and not God?

Jesus said: If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? (Luk 16:11) Have you been faithful with your money -becuase it could determine your eternal destiny. How you manage it could have a determining factor for you between Heaven and Hell! -It’s not that money can save you, or damn you, but how you manage it proves what’s really in your heart, and if you are living in luxury, storing up treasure on earth, selfishly indulging in this world’s goods, then there is a very good indication that your heart is not with Christ in heavenly places, but still attached to this world, thereby showing that you’ve never been supernaturally transformed by the power of God’s Holy Spirit in the new birth and received the new life from the age to come. Again, are you faithful with the unrighteous mammon, because if not, Jesus no doubt will not trust you with the true riches of the Kingdom to come.

Watch this video (less than 4 minutes long):

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. (2 Tim. 2:4)

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (Mat 6:24)

  1. i would like to comment on the article about Todd Bentley.

By the Spirity of God I believe your general warning to the “church” about false prophets is correct. we have to be discerning at all times about everything that pertains to the kingdom of God. But unless you have been called and appointed of God to specify and bring judgement upon another ministry, person or country, you should only personally warn Todd Bentley that what you perceive as his ungodly “performances” has to cease or he will bring the judgement of God upon himself. I believe that everything we do has to have a basis of love, is that not what you proclaim yourself, “take up your cross and follow Me”. those were the words of Jesus as He walked to Golgotha, when He took up that cross it was simply because of love and obedience to His Father. We have to love each other, even the ones who make us want to throw up. Publicly condemning another man is not where the heart of God is at right now. He is preparing His church for His return and will come for a spotless bride. If you can’t love, you have nothing and all your wise and very spiritual words and teaching is like chaff in the wind. Todd Bentley looks all wrong, sounds all wrong and may even be all wrong, but lets unite in vicious warfare and see God do what God needs to do, if God thinks He needs to do it. If you are not assigned to do what you are doing, don’t do it, ………..The measure with which we judge, we shall be judged. Let God deal with the saints who are not saints.

  2. I agree that without love we are nothing, and are good for nothing – 1 Cor. 13 But an attribute of this godly love is that it “rejoices in the truth”. If we have a love for God and for the Gospel then we will rejoice to hold fast to its truth, and part of doing so is exposing the false where is presents a real danger to corrupting the truth. The Apostle Paul named names repeatedly when warning about false brethren and teachers, and even pronounced some hard words against them. The Body of Christ needs to be warned about this end time deception, and there is nothing wrong with examining a specific tree by its specific fruits -in fact, that is exactly how Jesus told us to discern false prophets (Mat. 7). I dare not sit idly by as the devil slaughters multitudes before my very eyes, and appear before God with hands stained by the blood of men’s souls. No, rather I will speak the truth in love, and warn them of this end-time deception, and wield the sword of the Spirit and hack and slash at this monster of deception to deal it as many fatal blows as God will permit the grace to do, and pluck as many souls from the fire as God will permit. Love doesn’t sit idly by and let the Adversary destroy the house of God.

“I am not permitted to let my love be so merciful as to tolerate andendure false doctrine. When faith and doctrine are concerned and endangered, neither love nor patience are in order…. when these are concerned, neither toleration nor mercy are in order, but only anger, dispute, and destruction — to be sure, only with the Word of God as our weapon.” – Martin Luther.
