This was such a blessing to me. I have a call to be an intercessor and just yesterday was looking up stuff on the net and started to read an article that was making alot of sense. My spirit was agreeing with the doctrine so far and then I suddenly got a 'check' in my spirit. I don't want to sound holy, but I have come out of extreme demonic bondage, been liberated by having them cast out, try to walk in the spirit as well. This 'check' happened when I started to read something about prosperity and faith and 'claiming what is ours in Christ' and ' commanding the devil to release the wealth of the wicked to give to the righteous'. Then I saw it was from Rhema. I was confused because so much of what Hagin taught didn't 'check' my spirit. His teaching on tongues and fasting and other stuff was 'right', but when I read this other stuff, I knew he was in great error. A little leaven leavens the whole dough. Woe to you who are rich, you have received your comfort in full. He who loves money will never have money enough. Paul spent a day and a night on the open sea. For the signs wonders and miracles to follow those that believe, they had to be constantly in the spirit and having the 'flow' of the Holy Ghost working through them. What is so confusing is that Hagin's ministry has had miracles working though it. BUT the error of the prosperity doctrine has greatly out weighed the 'truth' of the miracles. Satan loves to mix truth with error and dilute the purity and the simplicity of the gospel. Here is another verse to add to your teaching, maybe you already used it and I didn't see it but. That which is highly esteemed among men is detestabe in God's sight. What could possibly be more 'highly esteemed than wealth'!!!! Your teaching was a complete blessing to me. I had not a single 'check' in my spirit when I read it. I pray all the time for God to lead me into all truth, and if I believe something that is an error to show me and if I am rejecting something that is true to also show me. I want to experience the fullness of intimacy with the Lord Jesus Christ and this means being hated by the world and being so consumed with prayer and intercesson that there isn't all that much time left over to become rich!!!!!! If your meditations stand alone in careful and sincere thought, discernment, and rightly divided scripture, then no comment is needed whether it be positive or negative. Some, like myself, have thought about blogging on here but as a former Catholic I refrained from speaking on issues such as Catholicism as I didn't want to start an endless debate. Having been a Catholic and still among a proud Irish Catholic family, I can atest to the rampant deception of the Church (not that other denominations aren't deceived or wayward) and can testify to the 'eye opening truth' of being born again and understanding God's word as it should be understood and not how it was taught. It's all about Christ. I see Christ all through the Bible... from beginning to end. I see the types and shadows of Him and understand that rituals and traditions was a means and not and end. The cross and resurrection did away with all rituals and traditions and gave us the Holy Spirit who is 'Christ in us' who shatters all things pertaining to man's attempt to draw near in tradition, ritual, dogma, and anything else pertaining to organized and contrived religion. If my family could only see what I now see. It's heartwrenching and lonely to be apart of.... but the revelation of truth gives me joy I could never receive elsewhere in this world. So, I pray more than I debate as I don't believe that argument, even in truth, opens the ears to truth. So I refrain from endless points and counterpoints as it starts to become intellectual bantering rather than teaching in love and spirit. That said, good sound teaching is necessary for the Christian and the un-born because if the Spirit does come to someone, the will be validated in what they have suspected but could not put into words. So please continue in your posts and writings. The blessings of such will not always be seen by you.... God will make sure of that so as to test your faith in obedience regardless of validation.
